It is a beautiful fall and we are having a great time enjoying it all - even if the Cardinals didn't make it to the world series.
Things at church are going well - busy but well. The 6-8th grade catechesis program 'LEGACY' continues to be a large amount of weekly and daily work but the results have been very encouraging - parents coming back and sharing how thrilled they are to see their children so excited to learn and so excited to talk about the faith on the car ride home and even at home.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Megan and Jed will be taking off the week before Thanksgiving to visit the Peoria side of the family and then we will all meet up for Thanksgiving proper at the Ft. Wayne side of the family.
My big excitement is that next week I am headed on a whirlwind trip to St. Louis. Lutherans For Life is hosting their annual national conference there and they will be kicking it off next Friday with a 1-day bioethics conference. So, I am headed down Thursday on a leisurly Amtrak ride and will come back Saturday via the friendly skies. I'll be sure to write about my time down in the great city of St. Louis!
