We pray the Lord’s Blessings to you all this Christmas!
We have had a busy, yet blessed year. It has been wonderful to be settled in the same place for 17 months now! We really feel at home here in Flushing, MI and while it is a little on the cold side we are enjoying all the snow we’ve been getting this winter!
David has been hard at work this first year in the ministry, but enjoying his time at Holy Cross very much. Just some of the things that keep him busy are working with the High School Youth, overseeing the newly revised and updated 6-8th grade catechesis program entitled “Legacy,” his men’s Bible study group, preaching, and pre-marital counseling. This past summer he organized “Camp Narnia,” the VBS program here at church based on C.S Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia. David and Megan both had the opportunity to go on the High School Youth Mission trip this summer to Montgomery, West Virginia for a week long work camp. It was beautiful out there and was an amazing, and faith building experience.
I have been enjoying staying home with Jedidiah (most days)! With my DCE background and being so close to church, I have also been very active in the ministry at Holy Cross. I have been working with the High School Youth, teaching 7th grade “Legacy,” leading a young mom’s Bible study group, singing and serving as part time organist at church. With any extra time left over, I try to scrapbook and stamp.
Jedidiah is our very talkative, friendly, musical little boy. He is 22 months old already and is a sweet boy with a curious/trouble-making side to him that he must get from his father! He enjoys playing with his friends at church in the nursery and he loves any kind of musical instruments, especially (for better or worse) the drums. Jed is learning lots of new words everyday and he is the most talkative little boy we have ever known! We are sure he will be a great big brother to his new baby brother or sister that will be arriving this next June! We are expecting our second child June 15 and we are so excited to welcome another blessing into our lives.
We pray that the Lord gives you His peace, joy and hope this Christmas and in the year to come!
